For 2 weeks, Andy told Thomas daily that he needed to wait until we were moved out of the apartment before he made his debut. Well, the little guy was obedient but didn't leave much time to spare. On Sunday morning, we finished packing up the apartment and loading up the car but couldn't quite fit everything in.
With one more moving trip left, we planned to stop by before our Tuesday ultrasound to grab the final load and leave the keys. Late Sunday afternoon, Andy got the itch just to finish the move so that's what he did. Thomas must have received the memo because 5 hours after Andy got home and unpacked the car, I went into labor.Despite being warned at our OB appointments that we potentially had a "big baby" on our hands, Thomas arrived at a perfect 8 pounds, 2 ounces and 21 inches long. We had a great stay at Sibley Hospital and were in the loving hands of wonderful nurses. Actually the nurse that delivered Thomas was delivered by the same doctor that delivered me! Yep, you read that correctly. Jennifer, the nurse who was with us from 7am until I delivered at 2:05pm, was born at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS and delivered by the same doctor who delivered me. This little tidbit came up while chatting between pushing-- guess I was chatty trying to make it through that hour and twenty minutes!

After Thomas' arrival, his grandparents were so excited to meet him and snuggled him during our hospital stay.

He also was visited by some of his loving aunts!

Love this. . . but it now makes me wonder if I can wait until July to meet Thomas. He is just perfect. Congrats Andy and Cameron.
Love,
Aunt Kathy
